WEEK SIX: Weekly Journal with DILG

JULY 17-21

I started the week 6 on a work from home format, waiting for my mentor to ask assistance or lend me some works. I messaged her last week regarding my topic and she told me that she'll send me the corrected format of my Policy paper topic and if my topic be chosen I will just focus on making our policy paper On this week, I can feel the pressure coming up for the Policy paper, knowing that only me and Nong Kevin will do the policy paper. I had a lot of though thinking if I can help him because I don't have that knowledge in setting up a policy paper even though we had already made one. But with his trust in me, by also encouraging e along with Ma'am Jenica, I found my confidence back. Nong kevin and I had topics in mind but Sir Makoi told us to go with the SK Officials topic.

As my proposal was pushed through we have started to draft our statement of the problem and the objectives but, we were clear on what to focus at first so we had to think and to think what are the pressing issues to the SK officials nowadays. It was a bit hard on formulating Ideas but with the help of Sir Makoi, things are getting clear for us. We have discuss to ourselves the issues on the projects that are being proposed by the SK officials and we have developed an idea about their capabilities and capacity in leading the youth by their programs. We are seeking their activeness and there time doing their responsibilities.
Diving through our Idea, I have started seeking RRLs that would support our study. There have been a lot of literature that I've seen questioning the status of the SK Officials in the society, if theyr are really helpful in shaping youth or they are just another dangling in the government. Knowing a lot of SK issues, I may have feel a little bit of disappointment and dismay with the projects they have been doing. creating a thought of their use in the society, is it really good to be abolished or just address the reasons why they are somewhat failing the duties the mandate wants them to do?
