WEEK FIVE: Weekly Journal with DILG
JULY 10-14
At our 5th week on DILG we had a lot of things to do, we focused on the KM Serye as instructed by my mentor, I made the presentations and prepared the certificates for our target participants. I had also finished and signed our activity design and passed it to SRMU. There was time that we argued about the graphics that we will use because it causes us some delays. We went to see the regional director of DILG 6 and he asked us the reason why we want to conduct this study. He also made a recommendation on adding 1 or 2 reactors to maintain balance in the said topics. So, after our discussion we headed at our mentor's office and talked about who we can invite cause its already 3 days before the KM Serye and we need to rush because we need the reply already. So, I made the letter for Love Baronda. I was afraid if we can pull it thought a such a little time for the preparation and there were a lot of changes with regards to the activity. Adding the conditions, there was a strong low pressure that affected a bit on the internet connection.
Before our KM Serye I was tasked with the minutes of the meeting regarding Dagyaw 2023 6th Regional Technical Working Group Meeting in which they have tackled topics in preparation with the 2nd episode of Dagyaw where their focus is to promote and hear problems coming from the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors. I've observed that they were really eager to let each small business sectors to be open in order to solve their different problems. I can see that the different focal persons attentively and actively participate in generating recommendations and ideas to make the activity more productive.
As our KM Serye was starting, we were reminded by our mentors especially Sir Medel and Sir Makoi to think of ourselves as employees of the DILG and we should not be afraid and be confident. As we have sent a regional order, we have observed that most of the participants are from different municipalities which shows how RO is powerful to compel the other LGU, officers and employees. I have seen that there are a lot of aspiring SK Officials that have attended and they were minimal questions that was asked to our guest speakers. My takeaways in this activity is that, me being one of the aspiring candidates who will run for the incoming SK Election, have ignited my spirit to lead the youth in greater tomorrow. i was satisfied by what I have learned especially to the SK Reform Law which I have further think to be my proposal for our policy paper.
